Uh, that's the sledgehammer method. You should really only use that if
you know what you are doing and you have no other choice. E.g., you will
lose everything after that commit (including your own changes).

For what you want, you can simply do a

$ git checkout e4b1f69548f3e09ff8377d12902b5fcd02e84277
